Patrick Rouse – Virtualization & Workspace Management Co-Facilitator

Enterprise Solutions Architect, Quest Software

Patrick Rouse is an Enterprise Solutions Architect and a member of Quest Software’s Desktop Virtualization Product Strategy Group. He has 15 years of experience in IT and is a seven time recipient of Microsoft’s MVP Award for Remote Desktop Services. Rouse is a subject matter expert for Microsoft Virtualization technologies including Hyper-V and System Center Virtual Machine Manager and is certified in MDOP and System Center Configuration Manager. He also has deep expertise in T-SQL, Exchange, AD Group Policies and Windows System Hardening, Scalability, Application Compatibility and Performance Optimization. Prior to joining Quest’s Desktop Virtualization Group in 1998, Rouse led his own Citrix consultancy and was a Citrix Technology Professional Awardee. Madden is also the creator of BriForum, the premier independent application delivery technical conference.


Stephen Baron

Senior Program Manager, System Center Virtual Machine Manager, Microsoft

Stephen Baron is a Senior Program Manager in Microsoft’s Cloud and Datacenter Management organization.  From a feature perspective, he currently owns System Center Virtual Machine Manager Services, Application Deployment, Intelligent Placement, Dynamic Optimization, Power Optimization and our Operations Manager integration which includes the Performance and Resource Optimization (PRO) feature.  Previously, he was a program manager on the System Center App Controller team where he owned the multi-cloud management and role based access control features.  Baron also owned much of the initial design of the VMM 2008 R2 SP1 release, including VMM support for Dynamic Memory and RemoteFX.  Prior to joining Microsoft, he held roles as a software developer for two hosting companies and one Software as a Service company and was an infrastructure engineering lead for a large enterprise.


Anil Desai

Anil Desai is an independent consultant based in Austin, Texas. He specializes in evaluating, implementing, and managing IT solutions. He has worked extensively with IT management, development, and database technology. Desai holds many certifications and is a Microsoft MVP (Windows Server – Virtualization). Desai is the author of numerous technical books focusing on the Windows Server platform, virtualization, databases, and IT management best practices. Adam Driscoll

Software Developer, Team Lead, Quest Software

Adam Driscoll is a software developer team lead at Quest Software. He primarily works on expanding their PowerShell support for vWorkspace. Away from work he is an avid PowerShell and .NET blogger and runs the open source project PowerGUI VSX. Additionally, he leads the Madison PowerShell User Group. He’s been featured on several podcasts, including DotNetRocks! and the PowerScripting podcast.


Guido Grillenmeier

Chief Engineer, Enterprise Services Group, HP

Guido Grillenmeier is a Chief Engineer within the Enterprise Services Group at Hewlett Packard. Based in Germany, he deals primarily with global Windows infrastructure deployments for large enterprise customers. He has helped various HP customers to secure their Active Directory, make the move to 64-Bit Windows, and to utilize Hyper-V at scale even before Windows Server 2008 R2 was released. Grillenmeier has often spoken at The Experts Conference (TEC), and is also a speaker at various other Microsoft-technology related conferences, such as Microsoft Tech-Ed, IT Forum and Windows Connections. He has led the development and delivery for HP’s Windows Server 2008 Academies to HP’s own Services division and has been a Microsoft MVP for Directory Services for the past six years. Besides writing articles for technical magazines, he is also the co-author of Microsoft Windows Security Fundamentals (Digital Press).


Dung K. Hoang

Principal Engineer, Performance and Solutions Engineering, HP

Dung K Hoang is a Principal Engineer in the Solutions Engineering group at HP. He is the architect of the HP Cloud Foundation for Hyper-V solutions and is working on SQL appliances and Exchange appliances. He has known Windows for decades and spent most of his time working with customers in designing and implementing Active Directory, Exchange, and Virtual Server. He was a tutor of several HP Academies trainings on Windows 2000/2008, Exchange 2000/2003, Windows Security. He also presented at external conferences including Microsoft Tech-Ed, Microsoft Management Summit, the Directory Experts Conference (DEC) on various topics around AD, Exchange, and system management. Recently, he delivered a series of Hyper-V workshops to customers and partners with his “DataCenter in the box”, a portable rack with ProLiant Blade Servers and SAN storage.


Christopher Kusek

Christopher Kusek has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry. For the past 16 years, he has worked as a consultant providing solutions to thousands of companies. He is known for innovative ideas and community dedication which led him to found the Chicago Windows Users Group. CWUG, now in its ninth year, is a technical community serving more than 2,400 individuals with Kusek as vice-chair, frequent presenter, and keynote speaker. Greg Lambert is a co-founder of ChangeBASE, now a part of Quest Software. He has considerable experience of application packaging technology and its deployment. Before setting up ChangeBASE, Lambert worked primarily in the financial service sector, delivering application projects for many leading banks and financial institutions.


Robert Notolli

Robert Notolli is a System Architect with Microsoft. He has been with Microsoft for more than 10 years, focused on Windows Server and Active Directory technologies. During his time with Microsoft, he has worked with the large accounts in the Chicago area. Mattias Sundling

Mattias Sundling is an evangelist at Quest Software. He joined Quest with the acquisition of Vizioncore, and has more than 13 years of experience in IT. Prior to joining Vizioncore in 2008, he worked as a consultant assisting organizations with server virtualization and monitoring.

Mattias is known for his deep technical expertise in server virtualization, which he regularly shares in such different formats as blog posts and white papers, and as a speaker at industry events including VMworld U.S. and Europe, Virtual Forum, and VMUGs across the U.S. and Europe. Hans Vredevoort

Hans Vredevoort is a cluster MVP, working with System Center and Hyper-V private cloud specialist INOVATIV in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He started specializing in Microsoft virtualization well before Hyper-V was born and blogs and presents for www.hyper-v.nu, a very successful blog and user group that focuses on Hyper-V and System Center, the building blocks of the Microsoft private cloud. Much of his datacenter experience comes from working for a Dutch system integrator, specializing in Microsoft and HP infrastructures.  Vredevoort is co-author of Microsoft Private Cloud Computing (May 2012), which focuses on how to implement and manage a Microsoft private cloud. He was also the technical reviewer of Mastering Hyper-V Deployment by Aidan Finn and Patrick Lownds.  Currently Vredevoort is involved in a multitude of private cloud projects and early adopter programs on Virtual Machine Manager 2012 and Windows Server 8 has given him great experience, making him an expert in datacenter and private cloud architecture. Justin Zarb

Premier Field Engineer, Microsoft

Justin Zarb is a Senior Premier Field Engineer within Microsoft EMEA and a technical lead in the PFE Virtualization arena and in particular work with Application Virtualization (App-V). Justin is widely recognized expert in the field of Application Virtualization and has helped create technical documentation, training and service offerings used inside and outside of Microsoft. Justin spends his time 1:1 with customers and helps them with real world implementations, best practices and depth troubleshooting when deploying Microsoft Application Virtualization.
